Each morning this week I've found myself standing at the window, looking out across the swampy wetlands behind my house, before the lake's shoreline. After each night's rain, it seemed as though the wildflowers had come alive overnight—stretching higher, brighter, and more vibrant with every new morning. Until that moment, I had quietly wondered whether my paintings would connect with people beyond the encouraging circle of friends and family who had supported me from the beginning. This sale gave me the first real sense that my work could reach a much wider audience. Knowing that these paintings traveled across the country and became part of someone’s home—and part of their everyday life—was beyond spectacular. It remains one of the most meaningful rewards of creating: realizing that something born from my imagination can bring beauty, feeling, and enjoyment into another person’s world.
